Kaká and Lillian Monteiro

Kaká and Lillian Monteiro
Kaká (Brazilian) and Lillian (Norwegian) have been married for 19 years and are parents to three children: Marcus (16), Johanna Joy (12), and Amanda Marie (7).
For over a decade, this missionary family has lived and served across more than 19 countries. For nearly ten years, they worked on the front lines against human trafficking in Eastern Europe and Southeast Asia, spending almost two years living in Thailand and Cambodia to fight for the freedom and dignity of the vulnerable.
After years living abroad in Norway and Cambodia, the Monteiros returned to Brazil, committing themselves as a family to planting new churches. In the middle of the pandemic, they relocated to Curitiba, where Kaká took on the leadership of Calvary Curitiba and pastored the church for nearly six years.
In December 2025, Kaká passed the leadership of that congregation to his assistant pastor, Douglas — the church now continues as Calvary Curitiba Norte — so that Kaká and Lillian could step into a new calling: planting a brand-new church in the heart of the city. This new work, Calvary Curitiba, launched on April 12, and the family has since poured themselves into this new season of ministry, watching it grow and bear fruit.
Prayer Request:
For our family — that we would remain steadfast in the Lord and in His Word.
For our son Marcus, who is finishing high school this year and is seeking direction for what comes next.
For the church we just planted — that it would continue to grow in holiness, in depth, and in number, for the good of the city.
For the former church, Calvary Curitiba Norte — that they would seize every opportunity to serve and reach the northern region of Curitiba.
For Pastor Douglas and his leadership team as they lead the congregation forward.
For monthly financial support for the Monteiros, and for provision for the advance of the Kingdom from Curitiba.
