Praise and Prayer Requests:
Praise God for the people coming to our church, invited by friends, who have never come before through English night.
Praise God for bibles being handed out to so many children in the schools.
Praise God for making an impact where we are even when we don't realize it.
Praise God for friends who visit while we are on the mission field and serve as an encouragement.
Praise God my basketball teammate and his family came to church and our church picnic.
Praise the Lord for His monthly miracles keeping us going thus far.
Please pray for the following:
Pray for God to provide opportunities for us to share in various places at churches, home studies, or wherever the Lord wants about our mission in Italy when we are back in California on furlough and for God to open up the doors and move the hearts to get behind what He is doing here.
Pray for Caryn's prep for the VBS we put on to reach the community and that the hearts of the children would be impacted this year, transforming their lives and the lives of their parents.
Pray that God would continue to work on our landlord's heart to get her moving on selling us the apartment. She said yes, but she's slow to move and contact our real estate agent. Pray also that God would provide the way for us to finance the purchase as things here bureaucratically are complicated.
Pray for our upcoming kids camp that Donovan will be serving at during the first week of July and two of our kids will attend. Pray for the Holy Spirit to touch and transform the childrens' lives, for safety, fun, and great teamwork among the team. Pray for Donovan's capturing of the week on video and all that goes into making a video at the end to bless the kids, families, and serve as a memory of what God has done.
Pray for God to continue to help us learn how to better manage our two children's Type 1 diabetes so that they are strong and healthy. Pray the Lord allows us to get regular sleep and for our bodies to be healthy and our minds to be clear.
Pray God would use us on a daily basis where we are and help us to always be ready to give an answer regarding the joy that is within us. Pray that we are given the strength and endurance to be faithful witnesses in this challenging country.
Pray for provision for us as a family. We are still not fully supported and ask that you continue to pray that God would bring people to come alongside us and help support this mission God has us on here in Italy in a sustainable fashion.
Pray for Caryn's opportunities to share in the schools and to do English projects which open doors to preach the gospel. Pray for her opportunity to talk about the Protestant Reformation and hand out bibles to the kids.
Pray for our final English night outreach session coming up later this month. Pray for people to come who would not normally come to church. Pray that God works in the hearts of those who participate.
Pray that God would send people to us that have ears to hear and want to know the truth.
Pray for a new ministry computer for Donovan as his old one is over 10 years old and is no longer sufficient for ministry needs (a powerful one to also do ministry videos).
Pray for Isabel and Gianmarco as it is not easy for them to deal with diabetes at such a young age and they just want to be like regular kids who can eat whenever they want and don't have to think about taking insulin shots, etc. Pray for their hearts and minds to understand what is going on and what they need to do, but also that God would do a deep work and use this to make them more like Him.
Pray for the children Caryn teaches in Postioma and that God would touch them and give her creative ways to share with them.
Pray for Pastor Tyler and the leaders at CC Montebelluna to be strengthened and have God's vision for this precious body of believers and the work He wants to do in Italy.
Pray for great revival in Italy and the Lord to use all of His people in this great nation.
Pray for us as parents to lovingly guide our children to knowing and following Jesus.
Pray for us to be continually filled with the Holy Spirit and that our light would shine bright and be a great testimony in our neighborhood and region.

Emergency Prayer Request for Haiti (Cross to Light ministry)
Heavy gang fighting near the airport. Approx. 10,000 running: women, children, babies. Gangs are slaughtering families and burning houses. Pray for a miracle. Hundreds of people have fled to the church in Cité Soleil to take refuge. They are sleeping on the floor. We're trying to feed them and are ministering to them in the name of Jesus.

Serving at Pacific Youth Correctional Ministries
It was a blessed Mother’s Day weekend visiting my family and supporters in Central California. We had 21 people participate in the National Day of Prayer gathering in front of Juvenile Hall. Pray that we can get the staff in the intake unit to have the youth sign up to attend church on Saturday evening since most of them are not awake when they make the announcement on Sunday morning. Pray for the Lord to bless the workshop on discipleship I will be presenting at the CMCA Conference in Wheaton.

Serving in Asia:
Please pray for our trip coming up at the end of this month. We will be doing a VBS Camp at the Christian school that Rose started in SE Asia for 159 kids that live in a slum. The theme of the camp is “I am a child of God.” We will be studying the life of Joseph, making photo albums, playing games, learning how to play chess and learning a little self-defense. The school is located on the Cambodian/Thai border where the fighting has been happening. Please pray for all the details involved in the outreach. Pray for the scheduling, travels, finances, weather and the conflict in the border. Thank you for praying with us as we go on this venture by faith, wanting to represent God’s heart to the beautiful kids. May they know more than ever that they are God’s kids.

Praise God that He continues to provide emergency food for the church and people of Cité Soleil. Thank you for your continued prayers for pastor Ysrael, his family, the church team, and the people of this community. We are so thankful to witness God's faithfulness in providing food for these precious ones. Please keep praying. We are in Haiti preaching the Gospel and teaching the students, visiting hospital and doing evangelism, visiting prisons and street preaching. We have a container of food coming in the week. So thankful for your prayers.

- Please continue to pray for the situation in Myanmar (Burma). The Burma military is bombing schools, dorms, villages, churches, and clinics. Two of Partners supported dorms have been destroyed in the past few weeks. Praise God that the students are on school break right now.

PRAISES:
Praise the Lord: The Kairos program went extremely well. We had a record number, 16, who completed the week. So many testimonies of lives changed by the Lord's grace and love.
Praise the Lord: Rick has the privilege of praying with Adam, who accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior during Kairos.
Praise the Lord: Our prayer times on Sunday mornings and Tuesday evenings have been bearing fruit as people are stepping out and praying out loud, it's so encouraging to see this growth.
Praise the Lord: Our last study for Joyful Heart went very well, we are all so grateful for the book we did on forgiveness.
PRAYER REQUESTS:
- Please continue praying for Kristen as she continues speaking with Christelle with HCF about if it would be a good fit for her to work for them here. The Lord knows, and we all trust that his timing is perfect. Kristen seeks God's perfect will in whatever he has planned in order for her to come here to Northern Ireland.
- Please pray as we travel to Washington State May 6-14 to attend Aunt Joanie's celebration of life. The weekend we are away, Mike & Theresa Howard will be staying at our home, and taking both the Thrive meeting and Sunday morning for us. Please pray that our travels go well, no jet lag, and time with our family is sweet. Also for the church to be well attended during our absence. Thank you.
- Please continue praying for Connor that the stronghold of drugs would be broken. Please come alongside us as we battle this in prayer.
- Your continued prayers for our dear Heather & Jenny are appreciated. Pray they both return to their first Love and to fellowship. There has been a little breakthrough for Heather this week. Pray that it grows.

ONGOING PRAYER REQUESTS:
- Thank you for praying for our friend who is struggling with ongoing health issues, prayers that a new medication she's been given will help resolve the issues she's having. We are grateful for the proactiveness of the doctor. We still pray for a miraculous healing, and pray for continued peace for the family.
- Also some dear friends of ours in California have stopped attending church. Pray that their hearts will respond to the prompting of the Holy Spirit. For us, it is a bit worrying being so far away and not understanding what has led up to this. Thank you for your prayers for them.
- Please continue your prayers for Ryan, he has once again disappeared and hasn't been in contact. Pray that he too returns to fellowship and stays sober.
- Pray for the drugs issue in Ballymena. News reports have also said that criminals are exploiting the Republic of Ireland's weakness and flooding cocaine into the UK through them and Northern Ireland. Let's pray for this pipeline to collapse and for the freely available amount of cocaine in all its forms to decline in Ballymena.
- Please keep praying for the tinnitus in Rick's ears as there has not been much relief.

Serving the churches in the Middle East
Christians have been persecuted by the Islamic regime in Iran when it took power in 1979. But since the time the people rose up against the regime, the persecution has increased. Many are being arrested, imprisoned, tortured, and executed for their faith. As Christians, many are falsely charged with “acting against national security” for owning Bibles or talking about Christ. To escape, they cross the border into Iraq at great risk, with few possessions and little money. We are caring for these brothers and sisters by renting a house in Kurdistan-Iraq near the border with Iran. This house provides refuge and safety for persecuted Christians fleeing Iran. Please remember our persecuted brothers and sisters.

We earnestly ask for your prayers this week, as we are facing some intense spiritual warfare and are in need of strong prayer covering.
Please pray for:
- The Lord’s healing upon Debbie Denham’s back.
-Protection and blessings for my parents as they travel to visit my sister and her family in Anchorage.
-The Lord’s wisdom, love, and guidance in my conversation tomorrow with one of our departmental principals, as we work through some important matters. -Wisdom and direction in preparing and planning for next academic year—especially for our Junior and Senior High Evangelism and Bible Discussion Groups, as well as a training, equipping, and mentoring program for our teachers.
-Sessy’s restoration; protection for Pastor Yohanes and Beny in Kupang; and restoration for Edmond’s marriage.
-The Lord’s anointing and work through our teachers in the hearts of our Grade 9 students during the evangelism program tomorrow afternoon.
-Wisdom, love, and favor with all leaders as I help guide and lead the school spiritually. -That God would provide more teachers with a shepherd’s heart to mentor our students and model Christ to them.
-That my wife’s business, Junior Lab, would be an outreach to her Muslim staff and reach the younger generation through the wonders of science and God as Creator.
-Help in finishing all tasks, schedules, and editing papers. -Blessing and protection over my marriage and family—that we would be faithful in daily family devotions and quality time together, and that my wife and I would work well as a team in leading our daughters to know Christ.
-Blessings upon my sermon preparation for next Monday and Thursday (Junior and Senior Chapels and Assembly). Pray that the Lord would move in the hearts of our students this week and next.
- Healing for my injured ankle, knee, and shoulder.
