PRAISES:

- Praise the Lord: Cindy reports that the second training session also went well that she put on for the prayer team for Spirit-Directed Prayer sessions at the upcoming When She Serves conference. Thank you for your prayers.

- Praise the Lord: We received the payment for Cindy's car, it was very reasonable for the age of the car. We are grateful to have these funds as we pray about a replacement car.

- Praise the Lord: Rick's meetings with other pastors last week were very encouraging and a wonderful time of fellowship and prayer together. Cindy was blessed to join the lunchtime meeting.

PRAYER REQUESTS:

- Connor needs our prayers. He has relapsed badly. He went on a 5-day bender, shooting up cocaine. Sunday he came to church but was showing the effects of five days of partying with, as he said, one hour of sleep. We want to see him taken away from the devil's clutches and placed in God's hands.

- We appreciate your prayers regarding knowing exactly how to handle the issues that come up with those who are addicts - Some have come to church under the influence and it has been very awkward and uncomfortable to some folks. We need wisdom on where to draw the line in this area - it is a delicate balance as we don't want to turn anyone away yet still protect the body as a whole. We really appreciate any insights some of you pastors have with this type of issue. Thank you!

- Please pray for S, that she would feel the closeness of Jesus and the heaviness she is struggling with in her mind would be released and she would feel well enough to return to fellowship, as currently she is feeling overwhelmed. Also, E, who is also struggling with similar feelings. That the enemy would be bound from any attacks or effects on these two and any others unknown to us.

- Next Monday Cindy travels to the States: first, to help with and attend the When She Serves (formally When She Leads) conference in Murrieta California 16-17 October. Following that she will spend about a week on holiday with her 2 sisters in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

- Please pray that Cindy will experience no jet lag - Pray that travels go well and all connections will be made successfully and that the conference and Cindy's part in leading the Spirit-Directed Prayer go well. And that she and her sisters, Diane and Linda, have a blessed and fun time together.

- We appreciate your continued prayers for regarding a replacement car for Cindy. We are going to wait until the end of November as Cindy will be away for 2 weeks in October and then we are taking a long awaited vacation in November, celebrating both of our birthdays - Cindy's is a significant number! So when we return we will begin searching.

- Thank you for your continued prayers for Daniel, Angela's husband, Eamonn, Linda's husband, and Allan, Doreen's partner, that these men would open their hearts to the Lord.

- Please continue to pray for the 14-week New Believers Bible study. This Tuesday will be week 8 of 14 - Please pray for participants to continue gaining a good understanding of the Bible whilst having good craic in the conversation around it.

- Please pray for the Joyful Heart Ladies Book Study. We are going through Travelling Light by Max Lucado. Please pray that as we come together the Lord will encourage and minister to each one of us as we learn to leave things at the foot of the cross.

Thank you for praying for the upcoming meetings this week:

Tuesday - New Believer's Bible study and Church prayer gathering

Thursday - Joyful Heart Women's Book Study

Friday - We again will do a puppet workshop with Crocus, a special needs youth club - it's great fun!

Saturday - Thrive - Rick will be sharing about the origins and history of Halloween -

Sunday - The Book of Revelation - "What on Earth is Happening?"

ONGOING PRAYER REQUESTS:

- Please pray for the God Loves You Tour by Franklin Graham coming to Belfast 21-22 May and for the part that CBV can play in it.

- Please pray for wisdom for Rick to know how much to be personally involved in the God Loves You Tour. I put myself forward to participate in the on-floor counselling as I have had a lot of experience in this area with Harvest Crusades and even Billy Graham crusades in So. California.

- Thank you for your continued prayers for Kristen as she steps out in faith, trusting the Lord to move here in June 2027 to work with HCF Ireland. There are some major needs to be sorted out so let's stand with her in prayer and believe in the God of the impossible!

- Please continue praying with me for the Lord to fulfil a word He spoke to me: "That the churches in the Ballymena area will be full as He brings people from across the board to faith - male and female; young, old and in between; backsliders, the unchurched and those raised in church." - I want to be prepared for whatever the Lord will bring.

- The Lord has put Rick in a unique position with ties to church leaders/ministers from all the different types of churches in Ballymena. And he is praying that the Lord would strengthen him to be confident in taking a more active role in unifying the leaders.

- Your continued prayers for our dear Heather & Jenny are appreciated. Pray they both return to Jesus, their first Love, and to fellowship

- Please continue praying for Connor especially that he stays faithful to his walk with Jesus. We also pray for Ryan that they would use this time locked up to better themselves, get completely clean from drugs and that they would tap into their talents.

- Pray for the drugs issue in Ballymena. News reports have also said that criminals are exploiting the Republic of Ireland's weakness and flooding cocaine into the UK through them and Northern Ireland. Let's pray for this pipeline to collapse and for the freely available amount of cocaine in all its forms to decline in Ballymena.

- Please keep praying for the tinnitus in Rick's ears as there has not been much relief.

Thank you so much for your faithful prayers for us,

Rick & Cindy Johnston
